ing a new feature on THC. It is called Party Chicks. Although, I love checking other blogs for inspiration, I found that some of the best inspiration comes from friends.

Our debut Party Chick is Wendy Norcia. Wendy is one of my good friends from college. She recently held a Totally Awesome 80’s surprise party for her husband, Jim. The idea for the party was his birth year of 1980, plus who could resist dressing up in 80s attire.

29 and Feeling Fine!
This week I celebrated my 29th birthday. It’s hard to believe that I’m 29. I still get carded, and some have even confused me for a teenager. Lately, I’ve been so giddy like a school girl, so maybe, its because of my fresh face that fools them. Many think it’s because of a new man. But no, it’s because of a new attitude.
I’m (in the words of Terry McMillian) getting to happy. Happy is a state of being, where you just choose to be happy. I chose not to stress over things that I can not control.
I’ve decided to put more energy in the things that I can control. So about 3 weeks ago, I decided I would focus on my health. I’ve committed to working out 3 to 5 times a week. I’m cooking more, blogging more, and doing things that I love. (more…)
